Celtic Goodwill Raid 2008 - Itinerary

There are 2 main routes for the Goodwill Raid 2008:

One starting in Scotland and heading South to the Brest 2008 International Maritime Festival of the Sea, and one starting in the Solent and going West, down the English Channel. The routes converge and boats will meet in Falmouth. We then cross the Channel to L’Aber Wrac’h, before participating in the Parade of Sail into the Brest 2008 Festival. The combined fleets then head South down the Southern Brittany coast for the InterCeltic Festival in Lorient.

Raiders are reminded that they can join the Raid at any point on the routes.

Route Starting from Scotland:-
Scotland to Ireland Goodwill Raid

20th June to 27th June

Troon – Bangor – Dublin Bay

Dublin Bay Goodwill Raid

27th to 29th June

Dublin City Moorings, Poolbeg, Dun Laoghaire

Irish Sea & North Wales Goodwill Raid

26th June to 5th July

Holyhead - Dublin - Arklow - Milford Haven - Pwllheli

West Country Goodwill Raid

30th June to 5th July

Poolbeg – Arklow - Milford Haven – Padstow – Falmouth

Goodwill Raid South Coast

28th June to 5th July

Solent – Weymouth – Brixham – Plymouth

Route Starting from Brest:-
Brittany to Plymouth Goodwill Raid

28th June to 8th July

Brest – L’Aber Wrac’h – Isles of Scilly - Falmouth – Plymouth

Route Starting from Plymouth:-
Brest 2008 Goodwill Raid

8th July - to 14th July

Plymouth – Falmouth - L’Aber Wrac’h - Brest

Route Starting from Brest going South:-
Camaret to Southern Brittany Goodwill Raid

15th July to 3rd August

Brest – Camaret – Morgat - Audierne/St Evette - Iles Glenans - Benodet – Concarneau - Lorient

The Goodwill Raid 2008 Finish:

The goodwill Raid 2008 will end in Lorient on the 3rd August, although a number of boats may cruise further down the coast before returning in company back to the UK.
